HVAC Thermal Image
Many facilities monitor this type of equipment on a regular basis, because often a simple problem like lubrication can be spotted and fixed inexpensively, before the entire unit burns out. Such strategies fall under the general heading of predictive maintenance. Thermal imaging is especially useful for monitoring rotating equipment, since many impending failures are accompanied by overheating.

Office Building in China. An exterior view of a building showing areas of possible energy loss.

Mold Remediation Thermal Photo

Mold Remediation Control mold by finding unknown sources of moisture that would otherwise go undetected. Infrared scanning is the fastest most efficient way to provide 100% moisture detection coverage

Production Roof Thermal Imagery

Production facility roof. This is an image of a rooftop shown during a building inspection. The Ti30 can highlight problems by showing temperature differences caused by moisture or energy losses enabling efficient, focused repairs.

Buss Bars IR Image The petrochemical refining process is extremely energy intensive and requires careful thermal monitoring to ascertain the safety and thermal efficiencies of each process. Examining such thermal processes with infrared equipment capable of doing high temperature measurement can provide a quick and accurate diagnosis of problems and save refineries high damage-related costs. Plastic Manufacturing Thermal Imagery Obtaining a thermal image of a newly formed plastic part as it exits the mold can be used to diagnose quality problems and reduce scrap while increasing productivity and profitability. The plastics industry, hit hard by international competition, has an extreme focus on finding any conceivable way to increase profitability.
Sugar Manufacturing IR Photo DLW1 D R2766 at Hwy Z & 21- Lower portion of elbow was 82.5 deg F, (50 deg above ambient) - circuit load was not checked. The warm part is where the elbow is over the bushing, a likely heat source is either the probe and socket or the OCR bushing. This did not appear to be a pin and connector heat source. This thermogram is a two-phase wall plug-in where the wire connections were loose causing the terminals to heat 55C (100F) hotter than the ambient. This example was serious and needed immediate attention.
